Halloween Showjumping - 30/10/16

We had a great turn out for our Halloween Showjumping Show held for the first time at Cousland Park Training & Livery Centre.  We had two prizes kindly donated by Mercat Tours and Ghost Bus Tous for Best Fancy Dress - one awarded for riders in classes 1 and 2 and the one awarded for riders in classes 3 to 6.  Winners;  Harriet Mills with Skye and Vanessa Smith with Bentley, both of whom put in a fabulous effort.  Many thanks to Cousland for a well presented venue and all their help on the day.

Well done to all who competed and took part in Halloween theme.  Sorry horses about the scary pumpkins!!!

It was great to see a new faces at our dressage today and so many of our own members - an excellent start to 2016!

Kayleigh Millar and Duffy from Jedburgh were our first winners of the day in class 1, Introductory A and also took a second place in class 2, Preliminary 12 - a combination to watch out for in the future!

Class 2 - Prelim 12 was won by Gemma Williamson and Harry who the judge commented on the pair doing a harmonious test.  Class 3 - BRC D3 was won by Sheila Rodgers with Opposite Reflection and our own member Joyce Kent with Poppy came 2nd with a fantastic 70.2% - a partnership going from strength to strength.   Class 4 & 5 was combined and won again by one of our own members; Caroline Pennycook with Blue Thor  70.6% - a great bonus for Caroline as she was feeling dreadful with the cold.
